An innovative approach to short breaks and Day opportunities

Respite short breaks with a difference

Traditionally Respite short breaks for people with learning disabilites have been delivered in a large residential home setting, which is not set up to give you access to the kitchen or the laundry, and most of the key daily tasks are done for you like a hotel.

Also it often is already someone elses home, so it can be difffcult to fit in .

Using a self catering holiday let means you have ownership of the house without worrying about upsetting other long term residence or they not respecting your space.

Endeavour2achieve wants to offer you a relaxing, fun and informal opprtunity to take a break in a setting that gives you plenty of opportunity to use the daily life skills you are learning everyday at your school, college or day centre.

Endeavour is great value for money when using a Personal budget.

On average the cost of a single night B&B per room is £65, hotel rooms can be considerably more.

An over night stay at Endeavour averages at £20 a night when Four friends share, because the cost to hire the whole property is shared between the group staying.

Unlike residential homes, hotels and B&Bs, where you only have access to a bedroom and perhaps a communial area, Endeavour2achieve offers you access to the whole house and garden. You have full unlimited access to make a cuppa, cook in the kitchen, spend time in the livingroom, play Games, listen to music, watch a dvd, sit out in the garden, water the plants and even mow the grass if you want the experience!

Maintaining friendships and relationships

Why not come together for a weekend and spend some quality time together, especially if since school you and your friends are living in different supported living schemes with different providers and dont get the chance to get together that often.

'Come dine with friends'

Living at home with parents, in shared supported living or in residential care; sometimes you cant invite people back for a meal or an overnight stay.

Why not invite a few friends for a night in at Endeavour. Cook and share a meal together, pop out to the local pub, watch a dvd, play some music with the option to sleep over if you have the support in place to do so.
